Compression clothes help you run faster a study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research has suggested. Wolfgang Kemmler, Ph.D., of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany and principal investigator, explained: "They squeeze the veins in your calves and quadriceps, causing blood to move faster and deliver more oxygen to your muscles."

"The increased O2 helps muscle cells work extra efficiently, improving your performance," he added.
